May Haddock Trip

Note** This trip has been rescheduled from May 19 to the new date of May 24**

This year we are excited to be bringing back our haddock trip to kick off our saltwater season. We hired the Captain John Boats out of Plymouth to put us on some fish. Captain John Boats in Plymouth has been fishing the waters of New England for more than 60 years.

This is a great trip to spend time with other veterans on a large boat with plenty of space to hang out, fish or simply sit back and relax. In the past, we have caught more fish than we know what to do with, so hopefully we have the same luck this year! Check out the video of what to expect.

Captain John Boats are located at 10 Town Wharf, Plymouth, MA. The trip will run from 7AM-1PM and is scheduled for May 24, 2022, rain for shine! No gear or supplies are necessary. There is plenty of parking around Plymouth Harbor, see map below.

We ask that all participants arrive early because the boat will leave Plymouth Harbor promptly at 7:00AM and make it's way out into Cape Cod Bay. From there we will be doing some bottom fishing for haddock and each veteran will be able to bring some fillets home. (Make sure to bring some cash to tip the crew!) Captain John Boats has food and drink for purchase but feel free to bring your own as well... no bananas!

Everyone at Rifles to Rods is excited to be bringing this trip back and to kick off the saltwater season!

If you haven't signed up yet, make sure you do before all spots fill up.
